The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and its Lead With Languages campaign, with the support of Pearson LLC and Language Testing International, commissioned Ipsos Public Affairs to conduct a survey of 1,200 U.S. employers, and the resulting 2019 report, Making Language Our Business: Addressing Foreign Language Demand Among U.S. Employers, indicates an urgent and growing demand for language skills in the workplace.

At this International Multilingual User Group event in December 2019 addressing career seekers, presenters (including ALC Bridge committee members) discuss in great detail how to visualize career paths to improve recruiting and retention in the language services industry.

We are putting together a knowledge bank of files specifically for educators. This can include additional guides, reports, infographics, charts, and even media. This is a collective resource, so all donated relevant content is appreciated.
